Hey look, it’s a storify blog post! I had some things to say about tabletop RPGs and how they’ve impacted me as a storyteller. Here you go:
What tools are you using? Our group is using Hangouts and FaceTime, depending on platform, and HeroLab for character sheet management, but I have not found a good solution to get the four people in the main room engaged with the remote players because of audio issues. I suspect a full VC rig with a pro tour table mic would help.
We’re using Roll20 for system stuff and Hangouts for the video chat. We had a little bit of robot voice at times in the hangout, but it held up pretty well overall.
